Aims & Objectives

The Charity’s objectives as set out in its constitution are to:-

  • provide education for children with special needs within a Jewish religious environment;
  • provide residential or non-residential care for children with special needs within a Jewish religious environment;
  • advance the education and care needs of Jewish children and Jewish young adults.

Within these general objectives, we currently focus on selecting, funding and guiding the development of innovative professional schools and specialist service providers who provide high quality services which improve the education of Jewish nursery and school age children in Greater Manchester with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We continuously review how best to promote new quality service provision and fill the key gaps in provision for the Charity’s SEND client group.  Being very conscious of the scarcity of the appropriate professional resources and skills in the Greater Manchester Jewish Community we are using our influence to promote Partnership Working and Cooperation among the many schools and organisations involved.

Having identified those schools and providers who can best use our funding to deliver and manage their services reliably and cost effectively, we focus our limited funding capacity on them, while being open to new proposals if funding permits.
