“We’ve all been challenged by Covid, Lockdown and social distance restrictions so we wanted to help banish the gloom with a Zoom evening of fun” explains Delamere Chair, Malcolm Joels. “If we can remind the Manchester Jewish Community of the needs of local young people with learning disabilities and raise some funds to support them at the same time, so much the better”.
Delamere is hosting its own “House of Games“ online on Sunday 7th February 2021 at 8pm. Inspired by the popular TV show, “Richard Osman’s House of Games”, the evening will consist of a wide variety of amusing quiz and game show rounds to suit all tastes and interests – all strictly non-competitive and just for fun. To add to the entertainment, there will be contributions from Stand-up Comedian, Marilyn Berg, popular 2014 winner of The Fed’s Laughter Factor Award and additional entertaining short video breaks.
While there’s no specific charge for joining in, Delamere is hoping participants will be willing to make voluntary donations to the charity and is suggesting a modest minimum of £12 – but all contributions, large and small, will be appreciated. All funds raised from this evening will help to cover the costs of our service provider partner, JSENSE in improving and updating its highly valued directory of local expertise and support for Manchester Jewish children with Learning Disabilities.
