A significant number of children with learning disabilities are unable to sit exams in a normal school environment and need a specialist centre which can cater properly for their needs in an appropriate Jewish setting. There is an obvious adverse impact on the options of these students for future education and careers. Delamere is funding OYY Lubavitch Boys School to set up a nationally approved examination facility, using trained professional invigilators, which can be used by any Jewish pupil regardless of where they have studied. The school will erect special signage, prepare a safe storage room with an approved safe for exam papers, allocate suitable examination rooms and process all the paperwork. The new facility should become operational for the first time in 2018.
